"Know Thyself"

"Know thyself," said Socrates.

knowing oneself got to be one of the most valuable knowledge and wisdom that one could possibly have, living on this earth. and it is always a continual learning process.
knowing oneself partly means knowing to appreciate the beautiful you, and to accept and to be aware of the ugly you.

concerning our weaknesses, one has to always actively search and actively be aware, so that one can actively control and actively change. learning how to live with our weaknesses and how to turn our weaknesses into our strengths,, that's growing. and that's moving forward.

Father God, we are so weak. and only by Your grace and power, can we strive to become more like You, Jesus.. give me strength, so that i may yield to Your will and not mine. give me wisdom and open my eyes, so that i may learn how to love others.

Father God, use me, my strengths, my weaknesses, and my all for Your glory.

"not that i have already attained, or am already perfected; but i press on, that i may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. brethren, i do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing i do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, i press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
-philippians 3:12-14 [new king james version]

kimmy.

"welcome to the planet
welcome to existence
everyone's here
everyone's here
everybody's watching you now
everybody waits for you now
what happens next?
what happens next?

welcome to the fallout
welcome to resistance
the tension is here
the tension is here
between who you are and who you could be
between how it is and how it should be

maybe redemption has stories to tell
maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
where can you run to escape from yourself?
where you gonna go?
where you gonna go?
salvation is here

i dare you to move
i dare you to move
i dare you to lift yourself
lift yourself up off the floor
i dare you to move
i dare you to move
like today never happened
today never happened before"
