Love Your Enemies.

"But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful."
-Luck 6:32-36 [New King James Version]

i love this. so logical, realistic, and practical. and challenging indeed.

i don't know love, but i will nonetheless love in the best way that i know how, and God will teach me it along the way.

Psalm 145

"I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable.

One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
And on Your wondrous works.
Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
And I will declare Your greatness.
They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
And shall sing of Your righteousness.

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.

All Your works shall praise You, O Lord,
And Your saints shall bless You.
They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
And talk of Your power,
To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season.
You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh shall bless His holy name
Forever and ever."

-Psalm 145 [New King James Version]

Psalm got some great stuff in its last few chapters. :)

How AWESOME You are.

Father, I hold on to Your promises,
And I trust in Your power, and know Your mercy.
I lift up my day to You..

For You.

Have a blessed day.
Love,

...

"Tears are like blood in the wounds of the soul."
-Gregory of Nyssa.

Sometimes people confuse me.
Relationship with people sometimes can get pretty messy and bruise your heart real bad.

I am tired.

I feel like I am burnt out, the well of emotions dried up, and my heart so numb and indifferent.
Never before God felt so silent, and His presence so distant and almost absent…

When I think I am happy and satisfied with this little world of mine, I feel empty and vain. A shell of hollow happiness with nothing inside…
The moment I think I’ve got it all figured out, the Holy Spirit breaks through my pride, and I can only claim to not know anything.
The harder I try to control my life, the more lost I get.

It's like trying to decorate one's little world in the way one wants it to be; yellow on this wall, and flowers in this corner..
Only to realize that one could never control what's inside, because yellow did not want to be on that wall, and the flowers rather wanted stay in the centre, because yellow was not meant for that wall, and the flowers were not created to be in the corner.
When one realizes that one has too many messy webs and too many things stuffed in this little world,
The little world pops, and i, disillusioned.
Thus having a blank world in one's hands once again...

Father God, I yet do not know, and I yet do not see Your ways.
Will You just walk with me…

Will You just be with me…

Friendship.

"And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship.
And he answered, saying:
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.

When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay."
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unacclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught.

And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of you tide, let him know its flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."

-from Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet.

If someone asked me to name one thing that I am thankful for, I would say,

Friends.

Friends taught me to see that God really does have unique plans for everyone for the building of His Kingdom and that God really touches people's hearts and works in their lives in sooo many wondrous ways..
How uniquely did He create each one of us!
How special we all are…

Friends who know me and accept me as I am; who understand me without words; who lend me their shoulders and ears so that I may share my cries and joy; who help me to find myself and who are a part of who I am; and who encourage me to endure and to press on. Friends who are there to walk this life with me.

I truly thank God for my friends.

My earnest prayer is that I may be the same for them, that I may be there for them also..

All are swimming,,

Some fish swimming in the icy creeks on the tall mountain,
Others in the infinite ocean.

Some fish larger than others,
Some fish faster than others,
Some fish more colourful than others.

Sometimes hiding from the birds in the sky and the scary fish with sharp teeth,
Sometimes struggling through the weeds, the fallen leaves and twigs in the water, Sometimes bumping into stones and rocks.

Sometimes we bump into other fish along the way,,

Some quickly passing by,
Others, we will swim with for the rest of our lives, side by side..

We all swim at our own pace, following our own path,
All towards something, we swim.

We are swimming in the water.

In the water, we swim.
In the water, we live.

We, like the fish and God, like the water...

Love,

Carl Jung's Humor (& Wisdom)

"But what is the difference between a real illusion and a healing religious experience? It is merely a difference in words. You can say, for instance, that life is a disease with a very bad prognosis, it lingers on for years to end with death; or that normality is a generally prevailing constitutional defect; or that man is an animal with a fatally over-grown brain. This kind of thinking is the prerogative of habitual grumblers with bad digestions. Nobody can know what the ultimate things are. We must, therefore, take them as we experience them. And if such experience helps to make your life healthier, more beautiful, more complete and more satisfactory to yourself and to those you love, you may safely say: "This was the grace of God.""

so Jung is trying to be a little funny here.. lol.

"Courage To Be"

"The popular belief in immortality which in the Western world has largely replcaced the Christian symbol of resurrection is a mixture of courage and escape. It tries to maintain one's self-affirmation even in the face of one's having to die. But it does this by continuing one's finitude, that is one's having to die, infinitely, so that the actual death never will occur. This, however, is an illusion and logically speaking, a contradiction in terms. It makes endless what, by definition, must come to an end. The "immortality of the soul" is a poor symbol for the courage to be in the face of one's having to die."

-From "Courage To Be" by Paul Tillich [a theologian and a philosopher who explained courage and what it is to be truly courageous mainly in relation to being and nonbeing; the anxiety of fate and death; the anxiety of emptiness and meaninglessness; and the anxiety of guilt and condemnation. In brief, "Courage is the self-affirmation of being in spite of the fact of nonbeing", he writes].

life on earth must come to an end, and His will must be done.
